Essay on Lockdown and online classes amidst COVID 19 Pandamic

Lockdown has created a situation for us, to stay in our homes for 24x7. It has made life very interesting for some and terrible for many. It is the best period of our life, where we discover ourselves more, spend more time with our family, regenerate our hobbies that were almost extinct learn something new each day online and most importantly discover new ways of making a living.

Lockdown period is a fruitful period. It has given us so many opportunities, to learn and explore new things. The current best media, to stick to is online platforms. It has bridged the gap between a mentor and a student or between a businessman and his clients. There are so many online platforms, which provide a large number of free courses, tutorials and hire freelancers. This is the right time to make use of the best opportunities online.

One of the advantages of Lockdown is online classes for students. Our country is truly progressing in this regard. Online platform for education is a dream comes true. There are so many courses for students online, few of which got discovered only due to Lockdown. The regular classrooms have shifted online and are saving tons of money by this initiative. More quality oriented education is provided through online classes. It is similar to a normal classroom, the only difference being that it is taught and delivered online.

Online coaching classes are good because students are exposed to creative PowerPoint presentations, exciting lectures, manageable assignments, topic based videos and a lot of connectivity between the teachers and the subject. This couldn't have been possible, in a normal classroom.

The scenario in the normal classroom would be more of controlling the class and less of teaching. More of focus on the students and less delivery of the subject matter. But, in online classes, the teacher gets access to each and every student. The assignments, question papers solving and doubt clearance can be done at ease, without the fear of time limit. Teachers and students are at their liberty to choose a timing and get involved in the class. Enough space is given for each child to understand and digest the subject. This helps in the advanced learning of the child at the comfort of their homes.

I would say online classes or a tutorial at this period is a boon for both the teachers and the children. The children are less burdened in the form of classes, as they have only one or two classes per day. Complete syllabus coverage is done, with flexible teaching. Students are given exercises, to help them understand the topic better. Demonstration of examples from the environment and nature is now possible for a teacher, right from the environment of their house. Students on the other hand, learn the use of advanced technology, learn the subject more effectively and grasp the gist of the subject efficiently as there is reduced disturbance from the peer group. Students concentrate more in online teaching, as their parents are expected to be seated next to them.
